Grades K-8
Students will use
the Computer Aided Testing (CAT) to complete standard-specific
tests, which help evaluate the students' performance. The package
provides Form A as a pre-test to check skills needed and Form B as a
post-test to check for mastery of those skills. CAT also includes
the
TestSMART® PLUS Management and Reporting System.
The CAT
series of reading and language arts tests and math tests
provides a diagnostic and placement service for the separate
TestSMART® PLUS Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) lessons (described
below) and other standards-based resources. For reading and
language arts, there are 56 tests for each grade (K to
8). Each test measures (by standard) on level, below level, and
above level.
This program
is capable of assigning remedial lessons/exercises based on
students' performance on the test. Teachers can use these
computer-assigned practice lessons or choose their own items.
