Primary Reading
Skills is a six-book series that thoroughly covers the top reading
skills requested by primary teachers. In The 5 W's: Who, What,
Where, When, Why students practice with identifying and answering
questions about the 5 W's. Getting the Sequence works on
sequencing pictures, sentences, and concepts and helps students
use sequence as a tool for understanding more complex material. In
Main Idea & Details students become reading detectives to find
the main idea and details in a variety of fiction and nonfiction
passages. Fact & Opinion asks students to analyze fact and
opinion and learn to evaluate what belongs and what doesn't.
Drawing Conclusions allows students to use critical thinking
skills in a host of different passages. In Context Clues students
must identify context clues and use them to figure out new
meanings. A variety of formats keep students' interest and prepare
them for formal testing.
