The Thing I Found on Saturn
by Nichole Stilwell

When I took a trip to Saturn, I found something there. It was the size of a person but didn't have a face. Where a human's face would be, there was a black shield. I didn't know what it was, so I tried to investigate. Whenever I tried to get close to the "Thing," it would run away. I tried sneaking up on it, but of course it saw me and ran away. When I tried sneaking up on it again, I hid behind a rock. It looked like the thing was getting something to eat, but I wasn't sure.

The thing was familiar with my ship. It was also familiar with our customs. It knows how to shake my hand when I come up to greet it. I started to think it was a human. How could it be a human, there can't be life formation, and how did the thing get here. I think it might have had a ship of it's own. If it did, then how much food did it have when it got here. Would it bring plants with it, so it would have oxygen and food.

When I went back to my ship, I found the "Thing" doing work on it. I think it might have thought there is something wrong with it. I tried to tell him that my ship was in perfect running order. It didn't understand what I was telling it, so it went back to work. I began thinking that it was trying to damage my ship so I would be stuck on Saturn. I drew it a picture of me taking it to Earth. I think it understood me, because it started fixing my ship.

When it was done fixing my ship it left to go get its things. It came back in about an hour. As I tried to put the seat belt on the "Thing" it started to squirm. I think it was used to being free, so it didn't like the seat belt. After a while the thing got used to it though. Once we started to take off, I could tell that it was getting nervous, so I gave it a airsickness bag. When we accelerated, It stuck its head in the bag and made a sound I would rather not describe. When we got to earth, the thing looked like it was happy. It started to take off Its helmet, and then I saw what it was, it was my long lost friend Leah Robinson!!!
