Advising Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln is a former president of the United States of America. He wants to learn about the presidential elections of today, so he hires you to investigate. He only knows that the U.S. has a democratic government and that it holds a presidential election every four years.

To solve the case, you must investigate the election process and report back to Lincoln. During your investigation, you should find out--

• the definition of democracy
• the definition of election
• the definition of ballot
• the legal voting age
• how citizens register to vote
• the definition of political party
• the names of two major political parties
• the name of the current president and vice president

Oral Report
Write the oral report you will give to Abraham Lincoln. Be sure to include all of the information you found during your investigation.
