Current expansion plans in our product lines will create new positions in our editorial department.

We are looking for qualified persons with degree(s) in English, Communication, etc.

You should have strong writing and editing skills and a demonstrated interest in publishing. You should be able to write clearly and accurately. Editing skills should include the knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. A copy-editing test must be taken as part of the interview process.

A knowledge of current educational practices in grades PreK-12, as well as teaching and/or administrative experience in a public or private school, will be valuable. Experience in educational book and magazine publishing is preferred.

Copy-Editor/Proofreader
This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of copy-editing and proofreading experience. Experience in educational publishing is preferred, and experience in using both Word and QuarkXPress on MAC is desired.

You must have strong writing and editing skills and a demonstrated interest in publishing. You should be able to write clearly and accurately. Copy-editing and proofreading skills should include a thorough knowledge of correct grammar usage, spelling, and punctuation. A copy-editing/proofreading test is part of the application/interview process.

Daily responsibilities will include copy-editing and proofreading a variety of projects assigned to you by the editor. You will work with other editorial staff, including graphic designers and authors. You must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

We are seeking a candidate who is detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated. You must be truly interested in learning the editing process and willing to learn on the job. You must be comfortable working independently, as well as part of a team.

Assistant Editor
This entry-level position is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree in English and/or communications. Experience using Word and QuarkXPress on a MAC is desired.

You should have strong writing and editing skills and a demonstrated interest in publishing. You should be able to write clearly and accurately. Editing skills should include the knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. A copy-editing test must be taken as part of the interview process.

Daily responsibilities will include writing, copy-editing, and coordinating the progress of various projects assigned to you by the editor. You will work with other editorial staff, including graphic designers and authors. You must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

We are seeking a candidate who is detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated.

We are looking for an individual who is truly interested in learning the editing process. Therefore, you should be willing to learn on the job. You must be comfortable working independently, as well as part of a team.

Editor
A minimum of 3-5 years of editing and project management experience, including planning and supervision is required. Experience in educational publishing is preferred. Experience using Word and QuarkXPress on a MAC is desired.

Managing Editor [Position Closed]
A minimum of 3-5 years of editorial management experience, preferably in educational publishing, is required.
